SRTA Safety Dashboard for SRCS Return to In-Person Learning

Safety Verification
The stated purpose for this work is to ensure that the plans are activated, and that the representatives for parents, classified, and certificated can communicate the progress made to the various groups of stakeholders. 

Admin Rep, COVID-19 Site Liaison(s), Isolation Area Attendant(s), Site Contact Tracer(s), SRTA Staff Rep(s), CSEA Staff Rep(s), Parent Rep(s), Assigned Site Nurse and Custodial Rep(s) have joined together on site teams to verify that the parts and pieces from the district RTS plans are in place. 

Verification includes looking through different lenses, matching the SRTA Dashboard. 
  1. Have communities of stable groups been identified and balanced schedules created? (11 Elementary/9 Secondary items)
  2. Have all safety measures been verified to be in place by SRTA? (14 items) These just check that a plan for safety measures exists.
  3. Have all stakeholders been informed of health and safety protocols? (14 Elementary/13 Secondary items) This item is checking that communication about plans happens for all stakeholders.
  4. Have staff, parents, and students been trained? (8 Elementary/7 Secondary items) For the items in the plan requiring training, this is to assure that stakeholders have been trained.
  5. Are school facilities prepared for social distancing and hygiene? (10 items) 
  6. Is there a 3-month supply of PPE and cleaning supplies stocked at each site? (5 items)
  7. Are instructional learning plans and technology fully in place? (7 items) This is about sharing plans and expectations with teachers before implementation.
  8. Are labor agreements in place? (Yes!)

These verifications are not intended to be sources of conflict. They should be fact based and responses can be updated as the situation changes.

As we go through this process, so much is changing. While touting that the best plan is a layered approach, the need for testing, surface cleaning, and distancing are being minimized with increased focus on masks and hand washing.

Our MOU stands unless we renegotiate it.
