SRTA Member Benefits

Being a member of SRTA provides numerous benefits to you as a teacher in our district. First and foremost it makes you a part of the larger community that will support  you in your efforts to provide the best education possible for your students. As a part of our community your will receive:
  1. ​Collective representation in bargaining for wages, working conditions, and benefits.
  2. Representation in the event of unfair treatment by management.
  3. Professional development support to grow as an education professional.
  4. Access to all member benefits provided by our affiliates, CTA and NEA. (see below)

CTA Member Benefits

New Members

Welcome to the California Teachers Association!  We’re excited that you have joined CTA - an advocate for members, their families and their students across the state of California.  As a new member, there are some steps you may want to take right away to ensure you make the most out of your CTA membership.

Learn about some of the
 Automatic Insurance Programs you receive with your CTA membership and designate your beneficiary(ies) for the CTA Death and Dismemberment Plan and NEA Complimentary Life Insurance.

Protect your income and your family (if applicable) from the unexpected by enrolling online today in the CTA Voluntary Group Life Insurance Plan and the CTA Voluntary Group Disability Insurance Plan. If you, as an eligible CTA member, enroll within the first 120 days of employment, you will not have to answer any health questions or provide evidence of insurability!

As a new member of CTA, you’ll want to take a moment to explore some of the many benefit programs available to CTA members, including:
  • Discounts on shopping, entertainment and travel.
  • Financial Services, including credit card and credit union services.
  • Auto and Home Insurance Programs
  • CTA Disaster Relief Fund - this fund provided more than $123,000 to SRTA Members impacted by the October 2017 Sonoma County Fires.
